Remember when we announced Smart Lists for 1.1? Yes, we know, it feels like yesterday. As if it… just happened. And as if… that’s all there is to know about it. Smart Lists – what could it possibly mean other than what it is called, right?

Wrong.

So wrong. But don’t blame yourself, we’ve been there ourselves. Down that long, winding, cold and dusty road called “that’s it, obviously, big deal”, so we know where you’re coming from.

Now, where was I?

Right. Roads. Lists. Well, we thought: “Why let lists have all the fun? Who are we to discriminate against code blocks, for example? Don’t they deserve the same right to be extended ad-infinitum? And what about Raw Source? Or Comments? What about BLOCK Quotes?!?”

And so we took all we had and extended it, stretched it, taped it on, and what do you know – it fit. It fit like a glove, like a… light bulb into its socket, like an SD card into an iMac’s DVD slot.

Auto-block-continuation, girls and boys, what a word. But that’s what it is. And it’s a good thing. It’s great, and it works just like you would expect it to, so we call it “intuitive auto-block-continuation”, but only once. You will love it, we know you will. And if you don’t, you have no soul. There, I said it. No soul, if you don’t love auto-block-continuation. With two slashes. Dashes.
